Poland Preview

Poland are going through an impressive run in the 2027 FIBA EuroBasket qualifiers. The Polish side have won five out of five games in the qualifiers and assured their qualification with one more game to go. Poland head into the contest with a 75-50 victory against Romania. They didn’t concede more than 55 points in the qualifying round which is impressive. The hosts kept all three teams silent with a solid defense, including Cyprus. 

Poland handed over a 44-point blowout defeat to Cyprus when they last met in the qualifying round. The visitors didn’t allow more than 17 points in each quarter against Romania. Poland are averaging 81.3 points per game and allowing 49.3 points per game. These numbers are showcasing a good balance between offense and defense. It will be their final home game in the qualifiers. The Polish women’s team had the biggest lead of 25 points in the previous game. Poland were shooting 38% from the floor and 31% from the three-point line. 

Poland were led by Klaudia Gertchen with 18 points. Kamila Borkowska went for a double-double with 15 points and 11 rebounds, while Amalia Rembiszewska dropped 12 points.
